Exceptional healthcare is our passion.
Dan and Gemma have worked together for several years and opened the doors to Edge Osteopathy in 2021 to provide specialist osteopathic care for a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions.
Over the years, the clinic has welcomed additional staff and practitioners, enabling us to offer more services to people on the island.

MSc Ost., BSc (Hons) ST.
As a Guernsey local, Dan enjoys the peace and beauty of Island life. He completed his MSc in Osteopathy from the prestigious University College of Osteopathy (Previously The British School of Osteopathy) in London.
Dan provides a careful, unique hands-on approach to all areas of musculoskeletal complaints. Combining his knowledge and experience, he is able to work holistically by placing emphasis on the relationship between structure and function to treat a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions. By employing this patient-centred approach, Dan recognises the importance of working in unison with each individual to help educate and support self-management where necessary.
In utilising his sports and rehabilitation background, he is able to combine tailored rehabilitation with his osteopathic approach to form a comprehensive treatment and management plan. Dan has worked with a variety of sports teams and travelled with the Guernsey Medical Team for the Island Games in Jersey (2015) and Gibraltar (2019).
Dan has a specialist interest in persistent headaches/migraines and neck disorders. He is curious about integrating various approaches to better support the self-management of functional or pain disorders.
Dan regularly attends CPD courses and conferences both on and off-island to keep up-to-date with his clinical practice.
He firmly believes that you are the expert of your own body.

Gemma was born and educated locally. She graduated from the University of Chichester in 2006 with a BSc (hons) in Sports Therapy and subsequently went on to complete an Osteopathy degree at the European School of Osteopathy in Maidstone, Kent.
After graduating she has worked for the NHS in London and privately in Brighton and quickly gained experience treating a wide range of conditions and working within multidisciplinary teams. Gemma moved back to the Island in 2011.
Gemma treats a wide range of musculo-skeletal conditions, mainly using a structural Osteopathic approach and with a strong emphasis placed upon personal patient care and management. She has a passion for the ‘how and why’ someone may be feeling the way they do and always tries to determine the root of the problem rather than just treating the symptoms. Her bespoke treatment package includes manual treatment, such as massage and manipulation, as well as unique exercises and advice.
Gemma regularly attends CPD courses and conferences both on and off Island to keep up-to-date with her clinical practice. Gemma enjoys keeping fit and is a very keen hockey player.
Gemma is registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC), Institute of Osteopathy (iO) and with the Health Professionals Ordinance for Guernsey.

Anna is a local girl who has recently returned home. Initially graduating with a degree in Microbiology from the University of East Anglia, she gathered a solid grounding in the scientific background of infection and body physiology. Unable to find employment at the PEH path lab and having recognised the benefits of alternative Medicine from an early age, Anna chose to return to the UK to study at the European School of Osteopathy (ESO) in Maidstone.
Upon graduation, Anna was asked to stay on at the ESO as a member of the teaching faculty so has worked in and around Kent for the last 30 years as a practising Osteopath, Lecturer and Clinical Tutor, and as part of the ESO International teaching faculty.
During that time, Anna was the instigator and founder of a multi-disciplinary Natural Health Centre in Kent. She ran and worked at the centre for 22 years, enabling her to develop a broad understanding of other forms of complementary medicine.
Anna completed a postgraduate course in Classical Osteopathy at The Maidstone College of Osteopathy in 1991 under the late John Wernham and is also a member of The Institute of Classical Osteopathy (ICO).
As an Osteopath, she enjoys working with all types of patients, appreciating the challenges with each new presentation. The ESO’s course is quite eclectic so the technical approach she uses includes the Body Adjustment, which is an articulatory based complete method of treatment and Cranial technique, which is a more gentle approach, more amenable to the treatment of babies and small children or those suffering from an emotional or physical shock, such as after a road traffic accident.
Anna is registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) and Institute of Osteopathy (iO).
