Cycling

Before you get on the road you should carry out a safety check, especially if you haven’t used your bike for a while, i.e. check your tyre pressures, test your breaks and wheels etc...

Whether you are going for a leisurely cycle or looking to burn a few more calories, you should have your bike set up appropriately. Having your bike set up properly will give you a more comfortable and efficient ride and hopefully ensure you stay injury free. Saddle height is very important. A saddle that is too low may cause your hips and knees to be compressed and a saddle that’s too high may lead to low back or pelvic pain, as you will be rocking from side to side as you stretch to reach the pedal.

P.s. Don’t forget your helmet!
